What you'll be doing

CIBC Global Asset Management is a collaborative team committed to delivering innovative investment solutions and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and governance compliance. As a Global Asset Management Analyst in our Fall 2026 Co-op program, you'll gain valuable exposure to mutual funds, finance, and regulatory practices. You'll support the team by working with large, complex documents and extensive Excel files, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all deliverables. Your role will involve both independent work—analyzing data, reviewing documents, and preparing reports—and active participation in team discussions. This opportunity will help you develop your technical skills, build your understanding of asset management operations, and contribute to projects that drive our business forward.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $50,840 to $59,350.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-op program to be considered for this role

How you'll succeed

  • Regulatory & Governance Support - Assist with tasks related to regulatory compliance and governance, ensuring documentation meets industry standards.

  • Document Management - Review, organize, and update large documents, including Excel and Word files, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Mutual Fund & Finance Analysis - Contribute to research and analysis of mutual funds and financial products, supporting portfolio managers and analysts.

  • Data Analysis - Work independently with large datasets in Excel, preparing summaries and insights for the team.

  • Team Engagement - Participate in team meetings, share questions and ideas, and collaborate with colleagues while working individually on assigned tasks.

  • Continuous Learning - Demonstrate curiosity by seeking out information and asking questions to deepen your understanding of asset management.
