The Global Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with multinational customers to drive accelerated growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term business value. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams across geographies, developing account strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as the “Siemens ONE face” for assigned global accounts.

Key Tasks and Duties
Strategic Account Management
Develop and execute comprehensive global account plans aligned with customer business objectives.
Define account growth strategies and identify opportunities for expansion.
Drive and follow up short-term and long-term order intake and profitability targets given by the business unit.
Maintain a deep understanding of the customer's business, industry, and competitive
landscape.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level customer stakeholders.
Act as the primary strategic contact for assigned global accounts.
Conduct regular business reviews with customer leadership teams.
Foster trusted advisor relationships to support customer business transformation initiatives.
Revenue Growth and Business Development
Drive revenue growth through cross-selling, upselling, and new business acquisition.
Identify and qualify strategic opportunities across regions and business units.
Lead complex sales engagements and contract negotiations.
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline.
Global Capture Team Leadership and Coordination
Lead virtual account project capture teams consisting of sales, technical, consulting, service,
and partner resources.
Coordinate activities across countries and regions to ensure consistent customer
engagement.
Align internal stakeholders around account priorities and business objectives.
Facilitate collaboration among global and local teams.
Customer Success and Retention
Ensure customers achieve desired business outcomes from products and services.
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address concerns.
Manage escalations and coordinate resolution efforts.
Support customer retention and contract renewal activities.
Commercial and Financial Management
Manage account opportunity pipeline, profitability, order intake budget and forecasting.
Oversee commercial agreements and pricing strategies.
Track and report key account performance metrics.

Your background
A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree and basic knowledge of electrical power distribution.
This in combination with experience in handling international customers and understand their investment and buying behavior would make you the perfect candidate.
You have knowledge of products / systems in MV & LV switchgear, Energy Automation and IoT portfolio and have also experience in E-House / containerized substation technology.
You have front end sales experience and have been selling power distribution systems/
solutions as well as Energy Automation systems to regional as well as international
customers.
You have experience in handling global frame agreements, at any Industry customer will be considered as an advantage.
You bring O&G industry knowledge (on-offshore projects) and dealing with international EPCs.
You have experience in handling international customers and understand their investment and buying behavior.
You are characterized by a high level of communication readiness, analytical skills, team
orientation, resilience and social competence.
You have dealt with international customers for a period of at least 2-3 years.
You are open to travel internationally for at-least 30% of the time.
You have intercultural experiences. Working together with colleagues / account managers from different regions will be considered as an advantage.
You have worked on developing business models during FEED and EPC bidding stage and experience in determining best possible customer price in case of competition.
You have a business-fluent command of English. Other languages are of asset.
