We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Glass Supervisor to lead our glass factory operations during the first shift. This role is responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining production quality standards, and keeping production schedules on track. The ideal candidate will have hands-on supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment and a commitment to team development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily production schedules on the first shift

  • Supervise and support staff to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with safety protocols

  • Assign tasks and manage workflow across team members

  • Evaluate team performance and provide coaching or training as needed

  • Cross-train employees on multiple production lines to improve flexibility and coverage

  • Order necessary materials to support ongoing production

  • Lead onboarding and training efforts for new hires

  • Address and resolve employee concerns or conflicts

  • Track and report daily production goals and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role

  • Experience in glass manufacturing preferred

  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities

Physical Demands:

Amount of Time Spent Performing Activities:

  • Standing: Up to 2/3 of the shift

  • Walking: Up to 1/3 of the shift

Required Physical Strength and Movement:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads exceeding 50 lbs occasionally

  • Must be able to stand for the entire length of the shift (up to 10 hours)

  • Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment

  • Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching

  • Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections

  • Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force

  • Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds of force regularly, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or similar equipment
