Company Background

We are representing one of our clients who are now establishing a new Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Kuala Lumpur to support finance operations across the APAC region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process month-end journals, perform closing activities, and populate Finance Reporting Packages accurately and timely
  • Handle and process intercompany transactions between different entities within the organization
  • Maintain clean general ledgers and sub-ledgers, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data
  • Prepare and review income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Provide first-level support to address customer inquiries related to financial matters
  • Assist in preparing annual statutory financial statements and other regulatory reports as required
  • Contribute to internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and addressing queries
  • Review and approve payment proposals and process daily bank transactions in the ERP system

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Min 2 years of hands-on experience in Accounting, Finance, or SSC RTR operations. Candidates with no prior experience are also welcomed to apply
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Good understanding of GAAPs, IFRS, and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with international teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn and challenge processes
