The Manager – Data Architecture role is accountable for owning and delivering end‑to‑end data architecture solutions across complex Global Logistics domains The role leads the design, evolution, and sustainment of backend data architectures that support the full system lifecycle— build, integrate, maintain, and exit—ensuring logistics data flows are resilient, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data platform strategies.
The role translates logistics and operational requirements into architecture designs that enable high‑quality data products supporting shipment visibility, performance management, planning, compliance, and operational optimization at global scale.
The role plays a key leadership function during system transformations, including legacy modernization, external partner integrations, platform migrations, and system retirements. The Manager ensures smooth transitions with minimal data disruption by governing data models, integration patterns, data quality controls, lineage, and system dependencies across platforms. By enforcing sound architecture and system care practices, the role safeguards continuity of critical logistics data while enabling modernization and simplification of the technology landscape.
Working cross‑functionally across PGS, GSC, Global Logistics, and Digital teams, the Manager connects the technical and strategic dimensions of data architecture to support advanced analytical capabilities, including interactive, predictive, and simulative use cases. The role is expected to demonstrate strong hands‑on technical depth, contributing to the development and adoption of technologies that underpin digital data product development, analytics platforms, and scalable architecture foundations.
The position also serves as a critical connector across Global Logistics, PGS, SAP, BW, digital product teams, and broader data engineering ecosystems, ensuring architectural coherence across diverse technologies and regions. The incumbent actively supports the build, integration, maintenance, and exit of multiple systems at different maturity stages, executing and enabling the delivery of scalable, reusable data products that reliably serve global logistics functions worldwide.
