The General Ledger Accountant reports to the Accountin Manager and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with GAAP standards while contributing to the company’s growth by streamlining processes and achieving key organizational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to assist with monthly close processes.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance.
Meet all processing and reporting deadlines, ensuring 95% reporting accuracy.
Respond to information requests, review financial results, and assist with audits.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Assist the Accounting Manager with day-to-day operations and special projects.
Maintain and scale accounting processes to support continued company growth.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and complete all tasks within agreed-upon timeframes.
Collaborate with team members to uphold Goettl’s standards of quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with accounting software and tools is a plus.

Able to sufficiently pass a drug screen and background check upon offer of employment.
