Goettl is a long-standing, multi-state residential HVAC and plumbing company. We’re looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment and knows how to keep multi-location accounting clean and accurate.
This is a 100% in-office role
What You’ll Do
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Handle monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the close process
Ensure GAAP compliance across a multi-state operation
Review financial results and respond to audit requests
Support local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements
Partner with the Accounting Manager on daily accounting work and special projects
Help improve and scale accounting processes as the company grows
Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
Experience as a GL Accountant or Staff Accountant
Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-state environment
Background in home services, construction, trades, or similar industries strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, reconciliations)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working under deadlines in an in-office setting
Experience with accounting software and financial tools
