J ob Summary

We are seeking a GIS Technician II with 2–4 years of experience to support day-to-day Geographic Information System (GIS) operations. This role is responsible for managing routine GIS tasks, maintaining accurate spatial data, and producing high-quality maps and visual outputs. The ideal candidate will work closely with GIS Analysts and project teams to ensure data integrity, timely updates, and continuous improvement of GIS tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine GIS data management tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

• Create maps and other visual representations using GIS tools

• Maintain and update GIS databases in a timely manner

• Collaborate with GIS Analysts on more complex mapping and data projects

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies and errors

• Provide feedback and input on GIS tool and process enhancements

• Ensure GIS data complies with organizational standards and procedures

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience working with GIS software, tools, and databases

• Diploma or certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related curriculum

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills & Expertise

• Experience with industry-standard GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS or similar tools)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Clear communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams
