GIS Technician

4P Consulting is seeking a GIS Technician with 2-4 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support data management, mapping, and routine GIS tasks. This role involves working closely with GIS Analysts to ensure data accuracy, efficient map creation, and troubleshooting of data inconsistencies

The ideal candidate should have a diploma or certificate in GIS or a related field and experience with GIS software, tools, and databases

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage routine GIS tasks, including data entry, maintenance, and updates to GIS databases.
• Create maps and visual representations using GIS tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure timely updates to GIS databases and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with GIS Analysts on complex projects and provide input on GIS tool enhancements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to GIS data.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related curriculum.
• Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience working with GIS software, tools, and databases
• Strong analytical skills with attention to data accuracy and spatial analysis
• Proficiency in GIS software (such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools)
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and effectively communicate GIS-related insights.
