Position:
GIS QA Analyst

The successful candidate will work closely with project
teams, testing leads, technical leads, business stakeholders, and project
management resources to ensure high-quality delivery throughout the software
development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Provide
  advice and guidance on testing strategy, test plans, testing tools, and
  resource requirements.
• 
  Plan,
  organize, and execute testing activities for large-scale systems in both
  GUI and non-GUI environments.
• 
  Conduct
  systems integration testing, specialized testing, and user acceptance
  testing activities, including stress testing.
• 
  Develop
  and execute test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data.
• 
  Work
  closely with testing leads, technical leads, project teams, and
  stakeholders throughout analysis, design, development, implementation, and
  support phases.
• 
  Support
  ongoing quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement
  activities.

Required Qualifications

General Testing & QA Experience

• 
  Experience
  planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts for complex
  systems.
• 
  Knowledge
  of structured methodologies for application development, design,
  implementation, and maintenance.
• 
  Experience
  using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and data query
  tools.
• 
  Experience
  utilizing automated testing tools and version control systems.
• 
  Experience
  executing functional, non-functional, and systems integration testing.
• 
  Experience
  supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• 
  Strong
  knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• 
  Experience
  creating testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data.
• 
  Experience
  with unit, integration, load, and performance testing.
• 
  Knowledge
  of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 
  Excellent
  analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and
  interpersonal skills.
• 
  Proven
  ability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
• 
  Knowledge
  of one or more automated testing tools.

Desirable Qualifications

  Knowledge
  of at least one programming language.

  Experience
  working with information retrieval tools and technologies.
• 
  Understanding
  of GIS infrastructure and application testing methodologies.
• 
  Knowledge
  of Information Management principles and practices.

  Understanding
  of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards and
  requirements.

  Experience
  testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
• 
  Experience
  designing and developing automated test scripts.
