The GIS Practicum Studentwill provide general GIS supportto support the maintenance and updating of ENMAX’s Power Distribution System. During this term, you will gain hands on experience that can be applied towards your GIS education.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assistin maintenance andupdating ofENMAX’s Power Distribution System’s infrastructure assets using ArcGIS/ArcFM

  • Create, revise, andmaintainvarious working drawings, circuit maps, schematic drawings, charts, graphs, forms, and other miscellaneous drawings as they pertain to the Power Distribution System.

  • Modify andmaintaina variety of databases specifically related to ENMAX Assets.

  • Maintain project time accounting information.

  • Interpret and integrate relevant data from multiple sources,ie Maps, engineering drawings.

  • Prepare GIS cartographic products.

Education Required:

  • Enrolledin a GIS related degree or certification program that has a work requirementcomponentas part of its curriculum and/oraccreditation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in using GIS, Mapping, and CAD software (ESRI Products & Drafting data)

  • Working knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of software products including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

  • You must have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of customers.

  • You must be a self-motivated team player andhave the ability tolearn and adapt to new and changing technologies and business processes

Salary:Co-op GIS Practicum(CUPE 2026hourlyrates)

$24.82– $28.12

LocationThisrole will be part of our hybrid (home and office)work forcewith office workspacelocatedat ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday,Wednesday,and Thursday.
