NSW - ParramattaAt ServiceStream, we’re building the networks that keep Australia connected. We’re now looking for an experienced GIS Developer to join our Automation & Innovation team and help shape the way spatial data supports large scale telecommunications design and construction projects.
This is a hands‑on technical role where you’ll design and build smart, automated GIS solutions that improve data quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes nationwide.
What you’ll be doing
Developing and maintaining automated GIS tools and workflows to support network design and construction.
Working with spatial datasets, construction drawings, and QA processes across multiple programs.
Using Python, SQL, FME, and GIS platforms to streamline data transformation and validation.
Collaborating with a highly skilled team to design solutions and continuously improve GIS capability.
What we’re looking for
Around 5+ years’ experience as a GIS Developer in a professional environment.
Strong capability with QGIS and ESRI ArcGIS products.
Solid Python development skills, including GIS‑based libraries.
Experience working with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, ESRI Geodatabases).
Confidence using FME for automation and data processing.
Nice to have (but not essential):
Experience in telecommunications or utility infrastructure.
Exposure to AWS (S3, Lambda, Redshift).
Interest or experience in AI/ML applications for spatial data.
Formal qualification in GIS, IT, or a related discipline.
