Job Description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

A day in the life as a GIS Analyst II involves supporting projects through geospatial data management, mapping, and analysis that help drive decision-making across the organization. You’ll spend time creating maps and figures, maintaining GIS and environmental databases, analyzing spatial data, and generating reports for internal teams and project stakeholders. Throughout the day, you may develop and support web-based mapping applications, configure mobile data collection tools, and help automate workflows to improve efficiency and data accuracy. This role is highly collaborative and combines technical problem-solving, data visualization, and organization to support a wide range of operational and project needs.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

  • Support the ArcGIS Enterprise platform including geodatabase management, loading data, creating maps and enterprise content such as web maps, apps, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with GIS team on planning, strategy, and scheduling GIS enterprise initiatives and aligning with industry best practices.
  • Create concise, clear, and compelling GIS content (e.g., Dashboards, Field Maps, Experience Builder) for the organization using current technologies and workflows.
  • Keep high quality standards and a keen eye for QA/QC of data and products including testing new features and pilot projects.
  • Curate GIS data across projects and sources for the organization.
  • Support GIS Manager and GIS Solution Architect in gathering requirements and evaluating GIS solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Four-year degree in Information Technology, Geographical Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combinations of related education and experience required.
  • Five or more years of progressive related Geographical Information Systems experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)
  • Some travel required (25%)

$68,684.00 - $99,593.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
