Job Description

Purpose and Scope

This part-time role of Girls Intervention and Prevention Summer - PT is ideal for educators looking for flexible or extra work while still making a significant impact on students over the summer. The primary focus is to assist in an accelerated learning environment, helping students boost their readiness for college, careers, and community engagement through a summer leadership program. This position will work in a specialized setting with an emphasis on mentoring and student development, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the educational community during the summer.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelor's degree in Education or a related area, plus a minimum of two (2) years of successful classroom experience as a teacher or teacher type. A valid Tennessee professional teacher's license is required. The position is governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)

Degree Equivalency Formula

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
