Organizational Summary:
The Girls on the Run® South Louisiana Program Coordinator must possess a passion for and commitment to improving the lives and opportunities of girls in third through eighth grades. Girls on the Run provides a safe and interactive way to learn about healthy living including introductions and education onimportant topics like goal-setting, cooperation, healthy decision-making, and self-respect. The innovative curriculum gives girls an opportunity to listen and open up while encouraging them to commit to a healthy lifestyle and harness their inner strengths. Girls on the Run South Louisiana is a 501(c)(3) organization and currently serves East Baton Rouge, Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana, Acadia, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, Vermilion Parish, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa & Washington parishes.

The Program Coordinator in Greater Baton Rouge is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Program Director. The Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting Girls on the Run program sites and coach volunteers in the Greater Baton Rouge region while supporting the council-at-large.

The salary range for this position is $36,000-$39,000 annually, with overtime eligibility as a non-exempt position. Evening and weekend availability is needed seasonally to support coach, community, and 5K events. Girls on the Run offers a flexible work environment for remote and in-person work, however, candidates must reside in the Greater Baton Rouge region. Girls on the Run offers 20 PTO days and paid holidays, professional development opportunities, a $3,000 healthcare stipend, and work laptop. Ideal position start date is by July 1.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
Girls on the Run International (GOTRI) is the parent organization of more than 200 Girls on the Run councils across the United States and Canada. GOTRI establishes, trains and supports a network of community-level councils with local volunteers. The volunteers serve as role models to the girls through coaching the 10-week, 20 lesson curricula. The curriculum is delivered in these areas through after-school programs, recreation centers and other non-profit settings.
