Reporting directly to the Vice President, Council Development, the Council Operations Manager supports the execution of Council Development and Training priorities by coordinating projects, organizing data, improving the visibility of team work across HQ and moving team work forward. This role also provides support to councils during periods of change to help maintain continuity of program operations.
Working closely with Regional Directors, Training, and cross-functional HQ teams, this role supports consistent execution of team priorities and supports the understanding of the effectiveness of council support efforts over time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives in a team-oriented environment, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to Girls on the Run’s mission.

This is a remote, exempt, full-time position at 40 hours per week, offering a compensation range of $58,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
Girls on the Run International (GOTRI) is the parent organization of more than 200 Girls on the Run councils across the United States and Canada. GOTRI establishes, trains and supports a network of community-level councils with local volunteers. The volunteers serve as role models to the girls through coaching the 10-week, 20 lesson curricula. The curriculum is delivered in these areas through after-school programs, recreation centers and other non-profit settings.
