Title: Girls JV Volleyball Coach
Reports to: Head Varsity Volleyball Coach
Direct Reports: n/a
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant coaching experience preferred; prior experience with student-athletes or in an educational setting
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the JV volleyball program, including practices, matches, player development, and team culture.
- Teach and reinforce fundamental volleyball skills, game strategy, etc.
- Plan and conduct organized, safe, and engaging practices.
- Develop athletes physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Coordinate with varsity coaching staff to align program goals and athlete development.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team events.
- Maintain effective communication with players, parents, school administration, and athletic department staff.
- Ensure compliance with school and SCISA policies and regulations.
- Organize equipment, uniforms, and practice/game schedules.
- Monitor athlete eligibility, attendance, and conduct standards.
- Promote and build a team and positive program culture of strong Christian character, sportsmanship, diligent work ethic, perseverance and team above self.
- Mentor student athletes on and off the field, consistently modeling a Christian witness in all interactions, including but not limited to interactions with players, parents, officials, coaching staff, opposing teams and coaches.
- Offer off-season opportunities for player growth and development
