SALARY: Stipend - Schedule B2 Major Coach: $3,564

Responsibilities:

• Directs all aspects, areas, and components of the basketball team. Coordinates all strategic aspects of the program
• Planning: Planning and organizing practice sessions, and developing physical conditioning programs
• Coaching: Instructing athletes on the rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport, and providing feedback and coaching during competitions
• Motivating: Motivating players to improve and develop sportsmanship
• Recruiting: Recruiting new athletes for the team
• Managing: Managing equipment and facilities to ensure safe playing conditions, and working with the athletics director to schedule facilities
• Assessing: Assessing player skills and assigning team positions
• Representing: Representing the school in a favorable manner, and adhering to the district athletic department philosophy
• Mentoring: Mentoring players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game
• Keeping records: Keeping records of athletes' and opponents' performances

• Thorough working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the sport.
• Knowledge of current and developing trends in esports technology, methodology, and techniques.
• Ability to effectively analyze programs and events and recommend opportunities for improvement and growth.
