Contract: Part Time, 21 hours a week

Location: The Nigel Doughty Academy, Nottingham, NG2 7SR

Reporting to: Girls Academy Manager

About the Role:

To be primarily responsible for the technical development of Girls Academy goalkeepers within the Pro Game Academy (U21).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Girls Academy Manager and coaches to ensure the continuous development of all Academy goalkeepers.

  • Effectively deliver a high level of training for the Academy’s goalkeeping development programme.

  • Ensure all Academy goalkeepers are fully prepared for games and have a comprehensive development programme, including liaising with the analysis and physical performance departments.

  • Create a positive environment for player development; display high standards of behaviour and appearance and encourage the same from all coaches and players.

  • Manage and work with NFFC Head of Academy Goalkeeping to plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Academy’s philosophy, goalkeeping coaching plan and coach competency framework.

  • Liaise with recruitment and other key staff to identify and recruit goalkeepers across all ages.

  • Undertake continued professional development organised by the Academy.

  • Attend and report at Player Development Feedback meetings and MDT meetings.

  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Girls Academy.

  • To act, at all times, in a manner appropriate to a representative of Nottingham Forest FC.

What are we looking for:

  • FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers or FA National Goalkeeping Course.

  • UEFA C Licence.

  • UEFA ‘B’ GK Licence or working towards (desirable).

  • FA Safeguarding Children.

  • FA Emergency First Aid In Football

  • Demonstrable experience working in Academy Football.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, be adaptable to work with members of staff across departments and senior staff .

  • Ability to work under pressure and willing to work unsociable hours.

  • Dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.

  • Organised, methodical and logical approach to work .
