Job Summary: To determine eligibility for the Gifted Program, communicate evaluation results, and serve as a resource to teachers and parents of gifted students.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and gifted certification required.
Working Conditions: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Is punctual, neat, clean and appropriately dressedAssist with eligibility for gifted program according to state regulations which may include administering and scoring instruments according to best practices.Maintain records of students evaluated their eligibility and non-eligibility.Maintain student data base of eligible students.Maintain Teacher Handbook for Gifted Education.Provide information and advice to teachers at assigned schools on referral and evaluation concerns.Serve as Program resource for teachers at assigned schools.Maintain up to date knowledge and best practices in evaluation and delivery services.Assure that tests administered for placement meet state regulations and maintain adequate supply.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in carrying out all responsibilitiesOther duties as assigned.Provides onsite professional learning to ensure teachers are knowledgeable about gifted education.Conducts classroom observat6ions and provides timely feedback with next steps.Serves as a resource in developing district Gifted Endorsement program.
