Position Summary:

As a Retail Cashier/Clerk at the gift shop in the AAA Four Diamond hotel casino resort, you will be a crucial part of our guest service team. Your role involves providing exceptional service, handling monetary transactions accurately, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will practice and promote the resort’s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards” while creating a welcoming and positive environment for both guests and Team Members. By providing exceptional service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and accurately handling transactions, you will contribute to creating a memorable shopping experience for our guests and support the overall success of our resort’s gift shop.

In this Role:

• Approach guests with a friendly greeting and a pleasant smile in a timely manner.
• Interact with guests in a courteous manner and handle all guest opportunities promptly.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
• Always promote and practice the resort’s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards”.
• Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form.
• Accurately handle all monetary transactions, ensuring correct processing of sales.
• Maintain a high level of integrity and responsibility when managing cash and transactions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all merchandise and the physical property of the retail outlets on a daily basis.
• Unpack, mark, and stock merchandise regularly to ensure the store is well-stocked and organized.
• Ensure that the retail outlets are a safe environment for both guests and staff by following safety protocols.
• Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards, reflecting the resort’s high standards.
• Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management to meet the business needs of the resort.

Essential Qualifications:

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold/maintain certification with Alcohol Awareness (TIPS). If not already certified, training will be provided.
• A minimum of one (1) year of retail experience preferred.
• Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a gaming license with the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
• Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
• Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically on the gift shop floor and at times the hotel lobby. Work areas may be warm, cold, crowded, noisy, or bright and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
