Job Description

R.J. Corman’s My Old Kentucky Dinner Train is currently seeking a Gift Shop Associate to join our team in Bardstown, KY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerk duties, including checking guests in and assisting with boarding.
  • Process sales transactions (cash and credit), assist customers with product selection, bagging, wrapping, and payments.
  • Maintain gift shop cleanliness and ensure merchandise is properly stocked.
  • Monitor, record, and report gift shop inventory.
  • Create visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the customer experience.
  • Assist reservation staff with duties as needed.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:

  • Prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with an enthusiasm for sales and guest interaction.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires constant standing and walking.
  • Able to frequently bend, stoop, and reach .
  • Able to correctly lift and transport objects up to 75 lbs.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours with appropriate mobility and endurance.
