VIC - Ferntree GullyAn exciting opportunity for a Governance Implementation Analyst to join our growing team on a 6 month contract

About the Role

Service Stream’s Power division are currently seeking a Governance Implementation Analyst to join our growing company. The Governance Implementation Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening organisational governance and enhancing the Power Vic business performance by assessing current operations, implementing fit-for-purpose governance frameworks, and delivering insightful reporting and analysis tools that enable effective decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Ferntree Gully, VIC

Reporting Line: Power Program Director Vic

Key Responsibilities

This position will drive governance maturity by establishing consistent standards, performance monitoring, and data-driven insights that enable the Power BU to achieve strategic and operation objectives.The role partners closely with stakeholders across the business to design, develop and embed governance structures, reporting capabilities and analytical tools.

Governance Framework Development & Implementation

  • Assess existing operational, governance, and reporting processes to identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and implement governance frameworks, standards, processes, and controls aligned to business objectives.
  • Develop governance documentation including policies, procedures, frameworks, playbooks, and operating models
  • Monitor governance compliance and recommend corrective actions where required.

Business Performance & Analysis

  • Analyse operational and performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement

  • Develop performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards that provide meaningful business insights

  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports for leadership and governance committees

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through data-driven decision-making

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Partner with business leaders, operational teams, and subject matter experts to understand governance requirements and business needs

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultations to design fit-for-purpose governance solutions.

  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation to drive adoption and compliance

  • Provide guidance and support during implementation and transition activities.

Reporting & Analytical Tool Development

  • Develop reporting frameworks, governance dashboards, and analytical tools with support from IT/BI teams
  • Leverage business intelligence and reporting platforms to automate performance reporting and analysis
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to stakeholder needs

About You

  • Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Data Analytics, Project Management, Governance, or related discipline is desirable

  • Previous work with Victorian DNSPs (e.g., AusNet, Powercor, Jemena, United Energy, CitiPower)

  • Experience in governance, business performance, business improvement, operational excellence, or business analysis roles

  • Demonstrated experience assessing current-state processes and implementing governance frameworks or operating models.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights

  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation development

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
