Job Description
Getting to know GH&B
- Global Hospital & Biosimilars (GH&B) makes the products that are the foundation of hospital care — sterile injectables and biosimilars – that reach more than 100 million patients annually, generating $5 billion in revenue for Pfizer. These are not niche products; they are for when patients are at the most vulnerable, essential to access and acute care delivery worldwide.
- GH&B is Pfizer's only truly end-to-end business, spanning from our 12 global manufacturing sites through to commercial in a single integrated organization. It was created to give this portfolio dedicated focus, clearer accountability, and a fit-for-purpose operating model — recognizing that GH&B's portfolio has different economics, customer dynamics, and execution needs than Pfizer's innovative business.
- By bringing Commercial and Supply into one organization, GH&B enables faster decision-making, stronger prioritization, and expanded capabilities for this important portfolio.
- Our ambition: Rebuild a healthy operation positioned to serve patients for generations to come
What You Will Achieve
Core Responsibilities:
P&L Leadership & Resource Allocation
- Own the full P&L (~$321M) across multiple Asian markets; set strategic direction across markets; manage varying revenue growth trajectories and margin profiles
- Allocate resources and prioritize portfolio investments across cluster markets based on growth potential, competitive intensity, and portfolio mix as well as maturity
- Calibrate investment between larger markets' scale and growth potential in smaller or partner-led markets
- Represent cluster in global planning cycles (OP/LE, QBRs, strategic reviews)
Commercial Excellence & Portfolio Steering
- Set commercial direction for in-market assets across all cluster markets while identifying growth opportunities via portfolio expansion, including upcoming launches
- Ensure contract excellence and pricing discipline across diverse tender and negotiation environments
- Shape field force effectiveness and customer engagement standards across Account Management and T&C teams, including oversight of partner/distributor-led execution models
- Navigate complex and diverse payer and procurement systems across the cluster — including government tenders, provincial quota-setting systems, national e-catalogue procurement, and direct hospital-level negotiations
- Drive higher emphasis on branding and marketing capabilities in Asian markets to support differentiation
- Manage CSO/distribution partnerships as well as SLA governance (scope, KPIs, transition triggers)
External Environment & Stakeholder Navigation
- Serve as the face of Pfizer GH&B to local external stakeholders — governments, regulators, payers, KOLs, and industry bodies in conjunction with the innovative medicines group as relevant?
- Navigate complex and divergent stakeholder systems across the cluster markets, including government tender authorities, hospital procurement bodies, and local distribution partners
- Coordinate with global functions (Medical, Regulatory, Supply) and serve as escalation point for platform support
- Collaborate with the broader Pfizer organization to align with the Innovative portfolio and secure resources and functional support (Medical, Finance, Legal, Compliance, GAV)
Enterprise Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead multiple colleagues across all cluster markets, including distributed teams not co-located with you
- Direct oversight of regional Portfolio Management & Marketing Leads; with commercial performance support
- Operate in a matrix — lead and influence enabling functions without direct reporting lines, including a semi-independent legal entity with its own field force within the cluster structure
- Attract, develop, and retain talent; build leadership pipeline across geographies
Technology & AI Enablement
- Champion adoption of AI-enabled ways of working and fosters a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Demonstrate strong personal digital literacy and AI fluency, modelling practical use of data, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions
- Leverage technology, data, and AI-driven insights to inform strategy, accelerate decision making, and improve organizational performance
- Leverage AI-driven dashboards for real-time cluster performance visibility and proactive resource reallocation
- Identify and scale opportunities for automation, simplification, and digital transformation.
- Ensure responsible use of AI through appropriate governance, risk awareness, and human oversight
Capabilities of the Future:
- Leading Through Change: Demonstrated experience leading leaders and teams through complex change, including navigating ambiguity, influencing across stakeholders, and sustaining performance during transformation
- End-to-End Process Thinking: Proven ability to think and operate end-to-end, connecting strategy to execution across functions and anticipating downstream impacts to deliver integrated, enterprise-level solutions
Use Your Power for Purpose
- The Cluster Lead holds full P&L accountability for the commercial business across various countries across Asia — a diverse set of markets spanning large-scale economies and established hubs, along high-growth markets within both contract and tender-driven environments. Distinguished by a plant-to-patient perspective, the role spans the full commercial value chain, from portfolio and pricing strategy through tender and contracting execution to patient access, across biosimilars and generics (Oncology, Immunology/Inflammation).
- This is a build-and-shape mandate and the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurial leaders: the Cluster Lead will stand up a new cluster operating model from the ground up, setting strategic direction across in-market and launch assets while balancing standardization with calibration to local market realities.
Stakeholder management
