Use Your Power for Purpose

  • The Commercial Director Biosimilarsleads the commercial strategy and performanceof Pfizer's biosimilar franchise across GH&B international markets. The role sets above-market direction for portfolio optimization, tendering and pricing, and demand-supply alignmentin a highly competitive, tender-driven environment translating global portfolio strategy into execution across a diverse set of geographies and market archetypes.

  • This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of strategy and execution: the Commercial Director will drive performance across markets without direct-line authority, leveraging analytics, cross-functional partnerships, and a deep understanding of biosimilar economics to unlock incremental value and accelerate growth.

What You Will Achieve

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Direction

  • Co-develop the overarching biosimilar portfolio strategy including lifecycle management, product prioritization, and market entry/exit decisions in price-sensitive, tender-driven environments in close alignment with relevant global stakeholders

  • Lead execution of thebiosimilarscommercial strategy across GH&B international markets, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and the GH&B International Commercial operating model

  • Identifykey performance drivers and unlock incremental value through portfolio/margin optimization, tendering & contracting excellence, and market-specific initiatives in partnership with global, international, and local stakeholders

Performance Management & Capability Development

  • Drive the performance management cadence for thebiosimilarsportfolio across international markets, including monthly/LE reviews and structured market deep-dives

  • Partner with local market teams to assess YTD performance,validateforecasts, andidentifyrisks, opportunities, and mitigation plans

  • Provideabove-market guidance on execution priorities and performance acceleration initiatives

  • Strengthen international commercial capabilities through tools, frameworks, and best-practice sharing across the GH&B international markets community, in close partnership with the Commercial Director for Hospital

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture across a heterogeneous, geographically dispersed biosimilar market community

Tendering & Contracting Strategy and Pricing Oversight

  • Contribute to the development of the biosimilars tendering & contracting strategy for international markets

  • Oversee governance and escalation for key market-level tender, pricing, and access decisions (e.g., list price adjustments) with material P&L impact

Market Insights, Analytics & Business Planning

  • Leverage analytics and market intelligence toidentifygrowth opportunities andvalidatemarket headroom for thebiosimilarsportfolio in collaboration with relevant global stakeholders

  • Ensure data-driven decision-making and prioritization of high-impact initiatives across the portfolio

  • Act as sparring partner for local markets in business planning processes, providing perspective on market-level drivers, competitive dynamics, and policy impacts

Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance

  • Act as portfolio steward for biosimilars within the GH&B end-to-end model, bridging Commercial, Supply, Finance, Regulatory, and Access functions

  • Ensure alignment across global, international, and local market stakeholders on strategic priorities and execution plans

Supply, Demand & Operational Excellence

  • Represent international market needs in IBP processes, including discussions on supply/demand trade-offs, tender participation decisions, and mitigation of stock-outs or supply risks

  • Contribute to the optimization of GH&B end-to-end processes (plant-to-patient) to improve execution efficiency and supply reliability

Market Development & Execution Support

  • Enable local markets to maximize biosimilar uptake through tailored strategies, account management insights, and tender participation guidance

  • Identifyresourcing and capability gaps in markets and advocate for targeted investments to unlock growth

  • Support key product launches, transitions, and lifecycle events across the portfolio

Technology & AI Enablement

  • Champion adoption of AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics across the biosimilar market community to accelerate insight generation, improve forecast accuracy, and support data-driven tender and pricing decisions

  • Demonstrate strong personal digital literacy and AI fluency, modelling practical use of data, digital tools,and AI-enabled solutions

  • Partner with Commercial Performance, Data & Analytics, and IT teams to define reporting and tooling requirements that enable scalable, real-time performance visibility across international markets

  • Identifyopportunities for automation and digital transformation in biosimilar commercial processes (e.g., tender tracking, competitive monitoring, demand signaling) and advocate for prioritized investment

  • Ensure responsible use of AI throughappropriate governanceand human oversight, aligned with GH&B and enterprise standards

What you need to achieve this:

  • Leading Through Change:Demonstratedexperience leading leaders and teams through complex change, including navigating ambiguity, influencing across stakeholders, and sustaining performance during transformation

  • End-to-End Process Thinking: Proven ability to think andoperateend-to-end, connecting strategy to execution across functions andanticipatingdownstream impacts to deliver integrated, enterprise-level solutions

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

  • 12+ years of progressive commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, or generics, with significant exposure to international/multi-market environments

  • Deepexpertisein biosimilar or generics commercial models, including tender-driven markets, pricing dynamics, and competitive portfolio management

  • Demonstratedtrack recordin above-market or regional commercial leadership roles with portfolio P&L influence

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to translate analytics and market intelligence into growth strategies and execution priorities

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership across Commercial, Supply, Finance, and Market Access

  • Fluency in Englishrequired;additionallanguages an asset

Bonus points if you have (preferred requirements)

  • Master's degree with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

  • Direct experience in biosimilar launches and lifecycle management across multiple geographies

  • Background in tendering & contracting strategy or pricing governance in international markets

  • Experience working within integrated end-to-end business models (commercial + supply)

  • Track recordof building commercial capabilities and communities of practice across dispersed teams

  • Familiarity with IBP/S&OP processes and demand-supply integration

  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments across global, regional, and local levels
