Job Location: Baton Rouge - BATON ROUGE, LA 70815
Salary Range: $17.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Day ShiftAs a prepress technician your primary duty will be working with the client's artwork to set up their files for printing. To a lesser extent you will create a visual concept that delivers a specific message to customers via brochures, signs, and other printed material. This includes ensuring your files are in the correct format and graphics layout is correct before the job is printed. You will work with the printers adjust in the files as needed.
Training: Training will be provided on the job.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans concept by studying information and materials
- Determine the message the design should portray
- Create images that identify a product or convey a message
- Select colors, images, text style, and layout
- Present the design to clients through automated proofing software
- Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
- Prepares files for print after approval of final layout

Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be mac proficient w/ detailed knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop & Adobe Acrobat
- Degree in Graphic Design preferred
- 2-3 Years’ professional experience
- Prepress Skills
