
The GEV Electrification Systems Circularity Manager will lead the implementation and optimization of circular economy principles within GEV's electrification systems. This role requires a strategic leader who can translate GEV's 4R framework (Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) into actionable initiatives across product design, manufacturing processes, and end-of-life management. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong execution capabilities, stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive measurable sustainability outcomes aligned with GEV's circularity targets.
- Drive eco-design initiatives and integrate sustainable materials into product development (NPI, NTI, and related checklists)
- Harmonize Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) programs across ESY for priority products
- Develop and execute the 2030 sustainable materials long-term strategy with clear milestones and deliverables
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on circular economy principles and practices
- Develop and implement circular manufacturing strategies with measurable waste reduction targets
- Execute projects that optimize material usage and manufacturing efficiency
- Consolidate and harmonize life extension and optimization services across product lines
- Establish reuse protocols for components and materials within the product lifecycle
- Create value propositions for customers through extended product life services
- Design and implement end-of-life (EoL) solutions and services that maximize product recyclability
- Enable strategic partnerships with suppliers and recycling partners to enhance capabilities
- Establish closed-loop systems where technically and economically feasible
- Own the Product Stewardship and Circularity program, ensuring regulatory compliance (particularly EU regulations) and achievement of circularity goals
- Implement and maintain GEV Enterprise Standards for sustainable materials and circularity practices
- Establish robust monitoring systems and report progress using GEV metrics aligned with the sustainability digital technology roadmap
- Manage pollutant tracking and mitigation programs
- Lead the circularity governance
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in circular economy or product lifecycle management.
- Experience in the energy or manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of circular economy principles, the GEV 4R framework and leading circularity regulations (i.e.: EU).
- Proficiency in LCAs and EPDs.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong execution & influencing capabilities
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
