Roles & responsibilities
•Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Azure Full Stack and Databricks-based solutions.
•Define solution architecture, development frameworks, coding standards, data engineering practices, and cloud implementation best practices.
•Provide technical leadership and mentor teams of developers and data engineers across multiple projects and engagements.
•Design and implement scalable, secure, resilient, and cloud-native solutions using Azure services and Azure Databricks.
•Lead application modernization, cloud migration, data platform modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
•Architect microservices, API-driven integrations, event-driven solutions, and data processing frameworks leveraging Azure cloud services.
•Design and govern enterprise data solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
•Lead the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines, batch and streaming data solutions, and Lakehouse architectures.
•Manage sprint planning, effort estimation, technical roadmap, delivery execution, and resource planning across application and data engineering workstreams.
•Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, data model reviews, and ensure governance compliance.
•Drive DevOps adoption through Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD strategy, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployments.
•Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, analytics teams, and clients to translate business requirements into technical and data solutions.
•Define data integration strategies involving Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and enterprise source systems.
•Identify technical risks, manage dependencies, resolve escalations, and ensure project delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
•Optimize application and data platform performance, scalability, security, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
•Participate in solutioning, pre-sales activities, proposal preparation, effort estimation, architecture reviews, and customer presentations.
This role is for you if you have the below
•Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
•Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) preferred.
•Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) preferred.
•Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) preferred.
•Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark or Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate preferred.
•Relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, Data Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Technologies are an added advantage.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
•7-10 years of Strong experience in .NET Core/.NET 8, C#, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework Core, and microservices architecture.
•Hands-on expertise with Angular, TypeScript, React (good to have), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development frameworks.
•Deep understanding of Azure App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Azure Storage, and AKS.
•Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architecture.
•Expertise in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation frameworks, and enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
•Experience working with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and SQL Server.
•Strong experience implementing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, release management, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
•Expertise in data modeling, database performance optimization, and cloud-native application architecture.
•Proven experience leading technical teams, solution design, architecture discussions, data platform initiatives, and enterprise application delivery.
•Experience integrating application workloads, analytics platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems.
Preferred technical & functional skills
•Experience with Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, container orchestration, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
•Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
•Experience with Azure Event Grid, Event Hub, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems design.
•Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows.
•Exposure to real-time data processing, streaming analytics, and modern data platform implementations.
•Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Security, Data Quality, and Data Management best practices.
•Experience with AI/ML integration, advanced analytics, and data science workloads on Azure Databricks.
•Exposure to client stakeholder management, consulting engagements, pre-sales support, and solution architecture governance.
•Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, enterprise delivery models, and large-scale digital transformation programs.
