Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist (German-speaking) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, ensuring the timely availability of materials and services, and supporting operational continuity. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize lead times, maintain accurate procurement data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders in line with MRP, purchasing, and scheduling requirements.
• Maintain continuous availability of materials and services to support business operations.
• Manage purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure material availability and on-time performance.
• Identify and resolve stock shortages, taking appropriate corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize lead times and improve supply performance.
• Investigate and resolve order and invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare and process purchase requests related to projects and specific business needs.
• Monitor delivery dates and verify pricing accuracy.
• Support supplier negotiations and supplier relationship management activities.
• Create new supplier records and maintain accurate supplier master data.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices.

Requirements:

• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken , is required.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage, but not required.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
