Our client is seeking a highly capable and driven Operations Administrator to help lead and grow their German-focused English teaching business. This is a key leadership role for someone who can manage day-to-day operations, work independently, and help build the business over the long term.

The successful candidate must speak perfect German, be highly organised, commercially minded, and confident in dealing with teachers, students, and customers. The Operations Administrator will oversee administration, teacher recruitment and onboarding, customer communication, and coordination with our client’s appointed online marketing company to support business growth.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a growing business and share in its success through a remuneration structure that includes profit-sharing.

Location: Somerset West, South Africa
Workplace: Hybrid - 3 days per week in office

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of our client.
• Managing administrative functions across the business
• Handling incoming inquiries from students and prospective customers
• Assisting existing students and customers with questions, issues, and support needs
• Recruiting, selecting, and acquiring new TEFL teachers for the platform
• Managing the onboarding of new teachers onto the platform
• Preparing, issuing, and coordinating teacher contracts
• Ensuring teachers are properly added to internal systems and processes
• Maintaining strong communication between the business, teachers, and customers
• Working closely with the company’s selected online marketing agency to support growth initiatives
• Helping monitor lead flow, customer acquisition, and business performance
• Supporting the strategic growth of the company in line with its long-term vision
• Taking ownership of the business’s operational effectiveness and helping improve systems over time

Requirements

Essential requirements

• Fully fluent or native-level German
• Based in or able to commute to Somerset West
• Available to work from the office three times per week
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Comfortable engaging with teachers, students, and business partners
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Willingness to play a central role in scaling the business

Desirable experience

• Experience in the education, language learning, or online teaching sector
• Familiarity with TEFL teacher recruitment or management
• Experience working with contracts and onboarding processes
• Experience liaising with external marketing agencies or service providers
• Exposure to online platforms, student support systems, or remote teaching environments
