Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a German (DaF) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our client in México City.

Job Information:

Ref. # 200011 / 200012 / 200014:

• Individual back-to-back-to-back lessons for 3 siblings: 6, 8, and 9 years old
• Location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home in Lomas Altas, Miguel Hidalgo, 11950 Ciudad de México (Near the Qatar Embassy)
• Availability: Mondays from 4.30pm until 7pm, Saturday mornings 9.30am onwards. Open to arrange that directly with teacher.
• Preferred start date: September 1st
• Lesson Frequency and Duration: Twice per week, 45 minutes per session/student
• Native and other spoken languages: German - English, Chinese, Spanish

6-year-old child:

• Current German level: Intermediate
• Student's language needs and goals: His main goal is to prepare for reintegration into the German school system and eventually Gymnasium. He responds well to motivating, child-friendly teachers and enjoys learning through games.
• Additional Information: He likes all kind of magic tricks, wizards, Paw Patrol, Sponge Bob

8-year-old child:

• Current German level: Advanced
• Student's language needs and goals: Her main goal is to prepare for a possible reintegration into the German school system and eventually Gymnasium. She responds well to motivating, engaging, and child-friendly lessons
• Additional Information: She enjoys gymnastics, music, and stories

9-year-old child:

• Current German level: Advanced
• Student's language needs and goals: His main goal is to prepare for a possible return to the German school system and reintegration into Gymnasium. He previously enjoyed a motivating, child-friendly learning environment with supportive teachers, literature, and media. He strongly prefers structured lessons and enjoys conversation and games. Lessons should focus on grammar, homework, reading, and writing, using his existing German school workbooks to review the previous school year and prepare for the next one.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in German
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of German (DaF) teaching experience
• Experience working with children
