Neptune Ubicom Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and talented German Language Specialist. If you have a high level of fluency in both German and English, strong listening and speaking abilities, and a deep understanding of cultural nuances, we have the perfect career opportunity for you!

Our team is seeking a highly skilled German Language Specialist, aka Documentation and Communication Specialist (designation per our organisation structure), to help facilitate effective communication and project work between the German-speaking stakeholders and English-speaking counterparts. If you are someone who is confident in their German & English skills and is looking to expand in the field of software product development, you could be the right fit for the role.

Scope of the role

Documentation and Communication Specialist is a hands-on role designed to work on effective internal/external communication, product coordination, project collaboration, and documentation to help with effective software product development.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Actively participate in project meetings with German customers
• Contribute to project work in order to effectively implement the requirements and objectives of the project
• Facilitate clear communication between the German-speaking and non-German-speaking teams involved in product development.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, task lists, and project status reports, in both German and English.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes for product development, ensuring that products meet established standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the customer when needed to ensure customer success.
• Address challenges that may arise during the product development process, proposing and implementing solutions while considering both language and cultural aspects.
• Support the coordination of product launches, including organising events, preparing marketing materials, and collaborating with the customer and development team.

What makes you a good fit?

• Native or near-native fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or a related field preferred.
• C1 or C2 level Certification in German language proficiency is a must.
• Experience in a BA-adjacent, customer-success role will be an added benefit
• Certification or proven experience in project management or product coordination is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to multitask and manage various aspects of product development and interpretation tasks simultaneously.
• Willing to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, understanding and appreciating cultural differences.
