Job summary

Responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of strategic, high-value and highly complex hyperscale projects (data centers, critial missions or infrastructure), from order handover through final customer acceptance and closeout. Accountable for safety, quality, contractual scope, schedule, cost, profitability, revenue, cash flow, risk management and customer satisfaction. Acts as the primary interface between Eaton and the customer, leads global cross-functional teams, protects Eaton's commercial position and provides project governance and executive escalation. The role requires frequent interaction with global customers, international project teams and Eaton leadership across multiple countries, making fluent English communication an essential requirement for successful project execution.

Job responsibilities

Lead large projects (data centers, critial missions or infrastructure) from order handover through final customer acceptance, warranty transition and project closeout.

Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and Eaton, managing expectations, governance routines and executive escalations.

Establish the project execution strategy, governance, baseline schedule, budget, communication plan, risk register and decision-making cadence.

Ensure compliance with contractual scope, milestones, safety, quality, technical, regulatory and customer requirements.

Own project financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, cost, project P&L, cash flow, working capital and forecast accuracy.

Lead periodic project reviews and implement recovery plans for schedule, cost, quality, margin, cash or customer deviations.

Manage contractual obligations, scope changes, change orders, claims, penalties, risks and opportunities, preserving Eaton's commercial position.

Lead contractual and commercial negotiations with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Finance, Tax, Legal, EHS, Field Service and Commercial functions.

Influence resource allocation and priorities across functions without relying on direct reporting authority.

Identify, assess, quantify and mitigate technical, commercial, operational, financial, quality, safety and supply chain risks.

Maintain accurate project documentation, performance indicators, forecasts, action plans, decisions, lessons learned and executive status reports.

Ensure timely engineering release, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, delivery, installation, commissioning, documentation, invoicing, collection and final acceptance.

Lead communications, governance reviews, contractual discussions and executive escalations in English with global customers and Eaton international teams across countries, cultures and time zones.

Drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, digitalization and standardization of project management practices.

Make timely, ethical and fact-based decisions and escalate critical issues to maximize project outcomes, customer satisfaction and Eaton value creation.

Qualifications

Education level required

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering. Business Administration or a related field may be considered when supported by relevant technical project experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or postgraduate degree in Business, Project Management or a related field.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Additional certification in Program Management, Contract Management, Risk Management or Lean/Six Sigma is desirable.

Languages:

Avanced English is mandatory (Fluency is a plus), including the ability to lead executive meetings, conduct contractual and commercial discussions, prepare management reports and communicate effectively with global customers and Eaton international teams.

Portuguese is required.

Spanish is desirable.

Years and area of experience required

Relevant experience in project management, including leadership of large, complex and high-value industrial or infrastructure projects (data centers, critial missions or infrastructure).

Proven experience managing projects in an international or global environment with multiple sites, suppliers, contractors and executive stakeholders.

Experience leading simultaneous projects and multidisciplinary teams through a matrix organization.

Experience with hyperscale data centers, critical power, mission-critical infrastructure or comparable complex programs is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience in customer governance, financial project management, contract administration, commercial negotiations, change orders, claims and risk management.

Experience across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, field installation, commissioning and project closeout interfaces.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally according to project and customer requirements.

Technical knowledge

Advanced project planning, scheduling, cost control and project performance management.

Financial management including project P&L, revenue, gross margin, forecast, cash flow, working capital and cost recovery.

Contract management including terms and conditions, change orders, claims, penalties, risks and opportunities.

Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and the hyperscale data center project lifecycle.

Knowledge of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, operational excellence and root-cause analysis methods.

ERP and project control tools; SAP is preferred.

Advanced Excel and data-analysis capability; Power BI and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera are preferred.
