Job Description

Hybrid

For this position, you will work in a hybrid model and be expected to be on site 3 days per week, combining in-person collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely on selected days.

What you will do (responsibilities)

  • Lead the field quality and reliability strategy for the Pacific cluster, ensuring a proactive approach to product performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the business.

  • Drive the investigation, prioritization, and resolution of field quality issues by leading root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions that minimize recurrence and strengthen product quality performance.

  • Oversee warranty-related topics and support decisions that help optimize quality costs, reduce exposure, and improve the overall efficiency and competitiveness of the operation.

  • Ensure quality readiness for new product launches by coordinating key deliverables, monitoring launch milestones, supporting capture test fleet evaluations, and leading high-level quality reviews aligned with global processes.

  • Analyze customer feedback, survey results, and warranty incident trends to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into action plans that improve key quality indicators and protect customers in the field.

  • Coordinate and support field actions such as campaigns, port holds, and containment measures whenever necessary, always with a strong focus on customer protection and timely execution.

  • Build strong partnerships with Customer Care and Aftersales, Product Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, assembly plants, Legal, Finance, and global source teams to align priorities and accelerate the resolution of quality concerns.

  • Act as a key point of connection between regional needs and global support teams, ensuring effective communication, escalation, and follow-through on critical quality matters.

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by representing the function in leadership forums and cross-functional discussions related to quality, product launches, and business performance.

  • Develop team capability and foster a high-performance environment that promotes accountability, collaboration, learning, and a strong culture of quality.

Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Solid professional experience in automotive, consumer goods, or related technical environments, ideally with exposure to Product Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Plant Quality, or field quality operations.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards, manufacturing systems, structured problem-solving methodologies, product development processes, and quality KPI management.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues, prioritize effectively, and drive execution across multiple stakeholders and functions.

  • Demonstrated customer focus, technical expertise, sound judgment, collaboration, interpersonal effectiveness, and leadership courage.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present quality topics clearly to both operational and leadership audiences.

  • Advanced English proficiency and availability to travel as business needs require.

What can give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience leading field quality, warranty, product quality, or launch readiness activities across multiple markets, countries, or regional operations.

  • Exposure to imported vehicle portfolios and coordination with global source plants, suppliers, or cross-regional teams.

  • Experience working in environments where customer feedback, warranty trends, and quality performance indicators are used to drive business and product decisions.

  • Familiarity with quality and warranty metrics such as IPTV, PPH, or CPV.

  • Portuguese proficiency.

  • Previous experience participating in executive or cross-functional forums where quality topics are discussed and escalated.
