Geotechnical Engineer
The Geotechnical Engineer shall provide technical supervision, review, monitoring, and coordination related to all geotechnical aspects of roads and infrastructure utilities works including earthworks, ground improvement, shoring systems, excavations, embankments, pavements, bridges, retaining structures, utility corridors, and foundation systems.
Review geotechnical investigation reports and design recommendations.
Supervise earthworks, excavation, backfilling, dewatering, and shoring activities.
Monitor settlement, lateral movement, groundwater behavior, and instrumentation data.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Review field density tests, compaction results, and laboratory reports.
Supervise ground improvement works including stone columns, dynamic compaction, and soil stabilization.
Inspect pile works, load tests, PDA tests, and pile integrity tests.
Coordinate with bridge, structural, pavement, and utility engineers.
Review WIRs, NCRs, material submittals, and method statements.
Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, and geotechnical assessments.
Monitor excavation safety, trench stability, and environmental compliance.
Assist in resolving technical issues and contractual matters related to geotechnical works.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
Minimum 5 years UAE/GCC experience.
Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, BS/EN standards, Dubai Municipality and RTA requirements.
Strong analytical and technical skills
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Construction supervision experience
Problem-solving and coordination abilities
Knowledge of contractual and QA/QC procedures
