Job Description

Geo Owl is seeking a motivated Geospatial/Imagery Analyst to support rapid-turnaround unclassified geospatial intelligence and analytical efforts. Analysts will support a diverse portfolio of time-sensitive projects spanning humanitarian assistance, infrastructure assessments, transportation and mobility analysis, resource extraction monitoring, military activity assessments, disaster response, environmental analysis, and other emerging mission requirements.

Successful candidates must be comfortable working under compressed timelines, occasionally working later hours or over weekends, adapting to a wide variety of analytical topics, and producing high-quality intelligence products with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geospatial analysis using satellite imagery, GIS datasets, and open-source information.

  • Perform feature extraction, digitization, and data collection within ArcGIS Pro and enterprise geodatabases.

  • Analyze temporal imagery to identify changes, patterns, and activity indicators.

  • Research and compile Publicly Available Information (PAI) from authoritative government, commercial, media, and academic sources.

  • Integrate imagery analysis, GIS data, and PAI into concise analytical assessments.

  • Produce maps, graphics, presentations, and written reports for customer delivery.

  • Support rapid-response taskings with deadlines ranging from 24–72 hours.

  • Maintain data quality standards and perform quality assurance reviews on analytical products.

  • Collaborate with project managers and senior analysts to refine methodologies and meet mission objectives.

  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, templates, and analytical best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship

  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.

  • Experience creating, editing, and managing GIS features and datasets.

  • Familiarity with geodatabases, feature classes, and enterprise GIS environments.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.

  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify and assess relevant PAI sources.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet short-deadline deliverables.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating within a distributed team environment.

Expected Commitment

  • Work is performed on an as-needed basis in support of rapid-response efforts. Analysts should be prepared to support occasional evening or weekend taskings when mission requirements dictate and be available to respond quickly to emerging analytical needs.

  • This is a part time, 1099 position.
