JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Geospatial Data Standards Manager develops and maintains geospatial data standards to ensure data interoperability, consistency, and accuracy. The purpose of this role is to ensure that data quality control procedures are followed to ensure accurate, consistent, and efficient collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
·Develops and maintains geospatial data standards
·Provides guidance on metadata creation and management, data quality control, and data normalisation.
·Ensures adherence to geospatial standards and protocols.
·Analyses geospatial data to support military operations and decision-making.
·Provides technical support on geospatial data management and visualisation.
·Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of geospatial data standards, policies, and regulations.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
·Master’s degree in Geospatial Information, or a related field.
·ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001, is essential.
·Geospatial Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) certification from American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) or related organisation.
·Extensive proven experience in geospatial data management or data quality control roles.
·Strong technical skills in metadata creation, management, and normalisation.
·Experience with GIS software and tools.
·Excellent knowledge with geospatial data standards and policies i.e. NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SDO.
·Strong analytical skills to interpret geospatial data and information.
·Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
·Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
