Your Mission as a Geomodeler

As a Geomodeler, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining geocellular models that support multiple asset teams. Your expertise will drive the integration of geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data, enabling the delivery of fit-for-purpose static models for reservoir simulation and field development planning.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Geomodeler

• Plan and build detailed, geologically rigorous geocellular models by integrating multidisciplinary data and analogues.
• Collaborate with asset team members to ensure subsurface understanding is fully represented in models.
• Deliver static models to simulation engineers for dynamic history matching.
• Generate net pay and other maps to support reserve audits and third-party processes.
• Contribute to field development strategies, including well placement and workover guidance.
• Provide technical support, advice, and quality control on geological modeling and reservoir characterization.
• Review and provide guidance on models prepared by partners or third parties.
• Mentor and train junior geomodelers and geoscience staff.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Geomodeler

• Proven experience in geocellular modeling within oil and gas exploration and production.
• Strong background in geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, and petrophysics.
• Proficiency with industry-standard modeling and reservoir characterization software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data integration skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities for cross-disciplinary teamwork.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior staff is an advantage.
