Essential functions of the position:

• The Geologist is responsible for organizing, analyzing, and interpreting analytical data.
• Plan and conduct investigations concerning hazard identification.
• Conduct groundwater and surface water sampling activities.
• Develop project field procedures.
• Supervise sample preparation, collection, quality assurance, and delivery to the lab.
• Provide technical support for Remedial Investigation soil sampling.
• Collaborate on reporting results and detailing action plans based on field studies.
• Make recommendations for necessary remedial actions.
• Create project status reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements of the position:

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Geological Sciences.
• 5 or more years' experience as a geologist.
• 5 or more years of experience in contaminated site characterization and clean-up.
• Experience in Geographic Information System Software, hydrogeologic modeling, and data processing software.
• Knowledge of and experience with regulatory compliance and agency coordination required.
• Experience collaborating with other subject matter experts in a team setting.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience is needed.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training required.
