Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Geologist with 4 to 7 years of experience in gold mining operations. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in gold exploration and production, with a sound understanding of the blasting process. The role requires someone capable of independently managing field operations, data collection and geological reporting with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and analysis related to gold deposits.
• Interpret and analyze geological data to guide drilling and blasting activities.
• Oversee and monitor blast designs, ensuring alignment with geological structures.
• Work closely with mining engineers to optimize ore recovery and minimize dilution.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, logs and maps.
• Supervise and mentor field assistants and ensure all field activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field (Master’s is an added advantage).
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience as Geologist in gold mining operations.
• Proven experience with the blasting process in gold mining.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Proficient in geological software and data interpretation tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Willing to be based full-time in Kahama, Tanzania.
