Job Description

We are looking for a Geography Teacher for an international school in Beijing. This is position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.

About the school

This is a K-12 school located in Haidian, and consists of an international school for foreigners' children, a kindergarten, and a bilingual school. The campus covers a built-up area of 162,000 square meters and includes a 400-meter track, professional theater, multi-purpose hall, kindergarten, student dormitory buildings, faculty dormitory buildings, several sports facilities and libraries.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach the subject of Geography to high school students, following the AP curriculum framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
• Prepare lessons, assessments and learning materials that support students’ academic progress and subject understanding
• Monitor and assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students in reaching their learning goals
• Maintain regular and positive communication with parents regarding student progress, learning needs and overall development
• Support students’ daily development by promoting positive behaviour, strong study habits and a respectful classroom environment
• Create a supportive and well-managed classroom culture that encourages participation, responsibility and academic growth
• Work closely with other teachers and school staff to support students’ academic and emotional development
• Participate actively in school activities, meetings, events and field trips, while contributing to a positive and collaborative school atmosphere
• Handle student issues appropriately and report any major concerns to the school in a timely manner

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
• Teaching certificate
• Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
• Excellent communications skills

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary 29,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Monthly housing allowance of 7,000 RMB
• Relocation Allowance: From outside China 10,000 RMB, plus 5,000 per eligible dependent
