Skills and Responsibilities

· 4-Yeardegreeinrelatedfieldor3-10yearsofrelated experience

· Experienceintheinstallgroundwaterandsurfacewaterinstrumentationsystemsinandaround dams, levees and CCR sites for the collection of real time data collection/performance monitoring

o Instrumentationandmaintenancewillinclude–inclinometers,waterqualityequipment(pH, ORP, DO, turbidity, conductivity), portable solar battery charging stations and cellular and satellite communication systems

· Experienceinexecutingfieldinvestigationsutilizingvariousdrillingmethodsand resources

· Experiencewithsoilandrocklogging,monitoringwellconstruction,groundwatermonitoring,and field data reporting

· 4.Experienceinprovidingtechnicalandsafetyoversighttodrillingcontractorand consultants

Special Notes

· Typical Worker/Geologist work week is 4, 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday) with some 10 day shifts.

· ExtensivetravelthroughoutthesoutheasternUnitedStatesmainlyGeorgia,AlabamaandMississippi.

· Agency will be required to provide the worker with a vehicle for transportation (Ford F250 4X4 or similar).

· The monthly rental of this vehicle will be paid by the Agency and reimburse by Southern Company with no added markup paid to the Agency.The Worker / Agency will be reimbursed for all fuel cost associated with the rental of a vehicle/truck. The Worker / Agency will be reimbursed for lodging and meals associated with work related travel and overnight stays.
