Amazon is hiring an experienced GEO editor for the Amazon News website (AboutAmazon.com) to lead our evergreen story archive program. You will develop and execute a plan to 2X our archive of GEO/SEO-driven evergreen content, grow organic search traffic, support content creation, and help shape how Amazon News content surfaces across an increasingly AI-driven discovery landscape. You will coordinate closely with editorial and business communications teams to identify and prioritize these stories, edit and optimize content so it performs well in GEO, and lead the content creation process. Your focus will be on ensuring Amazon’s narrative is accurately represented, discoverable, and cited across LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
This role requires deep AI search engine optimization knowledge, strong editorial expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, communications, and technical teams across a global organization. This person must also be data-driven and be able to develop tactics to drive business goals, engagement, and reach. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious about AI, an effective storyteller, and thinks about content first — diving into GEO data to identify content opportunities that are both compelling for readers and optimized for machines.

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
