We are seeking a talented and motivated Genetics Counselor to join our team of healthcare professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families, and to work with cutting-edge technology and advancements in the field of genetics. As a Genetics Counselor, you will play a crucial role in the process of genetic testing and help patients understand the complex results and their implications.

Genetics Counselor Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide genetic counseling to patients and families
  • Assess patients' risk of inherited genetic conditions
  • Develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families about genetic testing options
  • Communicate complex genetic information to patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with relevant regulations and laws
  • Stay current with advances in genetic technology and research
Genetics Counselor Qualifications & Skills
  • Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or a related field.
  • Experience in clinical genetics or a related healthcare field.
  • Board Certified by ABGC or planning to obtain certification within 1 year of hiring
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to empathize with patients and families facing genetic concerns.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and genetic databases.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and ethical patient care
  • Knowledge of current regulations and laws related to genetic counseling
