ABOUT PSCG

Essential Healthcare Solutions LLC is supporting Pinnacle Solutions & Consulting Group (PSCG), an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in New Braunfels, Texas, in its search for motivated, solution-driven team members who are eager to take on responsibilities in a dynamic, professionally rewarding environment.

Pinnacle Solutions & Consulting Group, LLC (PSCG) is a Texas-based Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business delivering federal contracting, disaster response, and emergency management services. PSCG is currently supporting the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Emergency Operations Center on FEMA-3645-EM Super Typhoon Sinlaku response operations and is hiring locally under Stafford Act §307 preference to support that mission.

THE ROLE

PSCG is hiring a Generator Technician to support our CNMI shelter operations. You will conduct daily monitoring rounds across all seven active congregate shelter sites, perform routine maintenance and minor repair on portable and stationary generators, and maintain the FEMA Generator Check Log. You will coordinate with the Electrician on interconnect and load issues, and route major repairs to our backup subcontract resources. This is a critical role for power continuity at shelter sites housing displaced CNMI residents.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct daily monitoring rounds at all assigned shelter sites: load checks, fuel-level verification, runtime logging, and external visual inspection of each generator.
  • Perform routine maintenance: oil/filter changes, coolant checks, battery maintenance, terminal cleaning, fuel polishing per manufacturer schedule.
  • Maintain FEMA Generator Check Log (Public Assistance Program & Policy Guide v4.1, Figure 2) for each generator; submit weekly compilation to the Documentation Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with the Electrician on interconnect issues, transfer-switch performance, and shelter-side load balancing.
  • Coordinate with backup subcontract generator repair resources for emergency repairs requiring manufacturer-certified service or warranty coverage.
  • Track fuel consumption against the engagement supply line; coordinate refuel scheduling with the Logistics Coordinator.
  • Maintain DCAA-compliant daily timesheets and support FEMA Public Assistance documentation per Program & Policy Guide v4.1.
  • Respond to emergency generator failure calls during assigned on-call rotations; coordinate with Electrician and Site Supervisor on power continuity priorities.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, military equivalent (MOS 12P, 91D, or comparable), or manufacturer training preferred.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible work on diesel generators, preferably mid-size portable units (15–150 kW).
  • Manufacturer training (Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Generac) or military equivalent acceptable in lieu of trade school.
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry within 14 days of hire (PSCG-provided at no cost).
  • Current CNMI residency in support of Stafford Act §307 local hire preference (42 U.S.C. §5150).
  • Valid CNMI driver license; ability to lift 50 lbs; willingness to work weekend rotations as needed for daily monitoring continuity.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; SAM.gov non-debarment confirmation.

WHAT WE'D ALSO LIKE TO SEE

  • Manufacturer certification (Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, or equivalent).
  • HAZWOPER 24-Hour for fuel handling.
  • Post-disaster work experience (Yutu, Mangkhut, Soudelor, or comparable Pacific theater event).
  • Familiarity with shelter operations, FEMA Public Assistance, or military post-disaster operations.
  • Bilingual English / Chamorro / Carolinian.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive hourly wage with overtime per CNMI Wage and Hour Act (4 CMC §9221).
  • Defense Base Act (DBA) workers’ compensation insurance plus CNMI Workers’ Compensation coverage at no cost to you.
  • OSHA 10-Hour, NIMS IS-100/700, and trade-specific safety training (NFPA 70E, OSHA Confined Space, HAZWOPER, EPA Section 609 — as applicable to your role) provided at no cost.
  • Bi-weekly pay; direct deposit; W-2CM issued at year-end via CNMI Department of Finance / Division of Revenue and Taxation.
  • Eligibility for health insurance enrollment for engagements 90 days or longer.
  • Direct contribution to your community’s recovery from Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

Send resume and any current manufacturer certifications to patricia.hughes@essentialhcsolutions.com. Reference position code GEN-T in the subject line. PSCG also accepts referrals from NMTI, CHCC, WIA Saipan, and the CNMI DPW Licensed Trades Roster.
