We are recruiting a highly motivated Generator Technician for a well-established power generation company in Boston, MA. This field-based role focuses on servicing commercial and industrial standby generators, including preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable backup power for critical customers.

Position Offers

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues

• Conduct load bank testing and system performance verification

• Replace major components including starters, alternators, controllers, and fuel system components

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial and industrial generator systems

• Respond to service calls and support emergency power restoration when needed

• Communicate clearly with customers while representing the company in the field
  
  

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of generator experience preferred

• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems

• Desire to work independently in a field service environment

• Customer-facing professionalism and strong communication skills

• Must supply personal hand tools required for mechanical service work
