Hilliary is seeking a qualified Generator Service Technician.
Maintenance and Repair Perform routine maintenance on generator sets, including oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant level checks. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within generator systems.
Installation Install new generator sets and electrical components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and local codes.
Testing and Troubleshooting Conduct tests on electrical systems and circuits to ensure compatibility and safety. Provide emergency on-call support for generator failures or power outages.
Documentation Maintain accurate records of service actions, including maintenance, repair, and replacement activities. Update work orders to reflect work performed.
Computers/Tablets: Must have knowledge of the use of a laptop or iPad to complete issued workorders or update the system of parts or fluids used or work performed.
Travel: Must be willing to travel to different locations.
Additional Work: Must be willing to do other tasks or requests by the management team.
Proven work experience as a Generator Technician or similar role
Knowledge of diesel, gasoline and propane engines, electrical systems, and generators
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to adhere to safety procedures
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical degree or certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field is a plus but not required.
