Job Description

Responsible for execution of various duties and tasks associated with daily warehouse functions, operations and activities. All employees are expected to adhere to Ace Mart business philosophy, guidelines and policies as laid out in the Ace Mart mission statement, Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Safety Program.

Responsibilities

  1. Unload and load trucks.
  2. Sort, count, inspect, and receive inbound orders.
  3. Accurately stock product in proper locations.
  4. Select and palletize outbound orders.
  5. Audit outbound orders.
  6. Prepare shipment paperwork.
  7. Complete assigned inventory cycle counts.
  8. Assemble equipment for display on show room floor.
  9. Accurately complete shipping/receiving log for all inbound and outbound shipments.
  10. Warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
  11. Other job related duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

  1. Ability to read and write English.
  2. Adequate mathematics skills.
  3. Ability and certification to operate all powered equipment in the distribution center.
  4. Stocking, receiving, and selecting accuracy rate of 1 error per 250 tasks completed.
  5. Knowledge of:

  7. Powered and non-powered material handling equipment
  8. Warehouse computer systems
  9. Warehouse locations systems
  10. Order selecting
  11. Palletizing shipments

Work Environment

Ace Mart is a controlled office environment and a non-climate-controlled warehouse, which can be noisy. Frequent interruptions may occur. Temperatures may vary.

Physical Demands

  1. Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
  2. Able to operate material handling equipment such as:
  3. Dollies
  4. Carts
  5. Pallet Jacks
  6. Forklifts
  7. Ability to operate powered and non-powered hand tools
  8. Able to climb stairs
  9. Repetitive lifting to a height of 5'
  10. Carrying of articles up to 80lbs. Up to 15’
  11. Daily physical activities include:
  12. Standing
  13. Walking
  14. Bending
  15. Stooping
  16. Pushing and pulling
  17. Must be able to work on moving, man-powered lift trucks at height up to 20 feet while stocking and removing cases weighing up to 30lbs.
  18. Must be able to read labels with a letter size of 3/8" at a distance up to 8' away.
  19. Must be able to communicate via 2 way radio and telephone.
  20. Must stand at a height of at least 58" and a max of 77" to operate powered lift trucks.
  21. Must be able to climb ladders on a ladder truck.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday. Ten hour shifts.

Travel

Travel is limited and not required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least 5 years warehouse experience preferred.
  3. At least 2 year Ace Mart Distribution experience.
