General Surgeon Physician Opportunity

Full Time Contract

We are hiring a General Surgeon to provide onsite services at a federal medical center in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

This role offers a stable full time schedule with structured hours and additional on call coverage.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm
• On call: Nights, weekends, and holidays
• Setting: VA medical center
• Contract length: 12 months with option to extend

Compensation

• Weekday rate: 260 to 320 per hour
• Overtime rate: 300 to 360 per hour
• On call weekday nights: 120 to 180 per hour equivalent
• On call weekends: 140 to 200 per hour equivalent
• Holiday on call: 160 to 220 per hour equivalent
• Annual earnings potential: 650000 to 900000 based on coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery care in clinic and operating room
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat surgical patients
• Perform procedures based on facility scope
• Document care in electronic health record
• Participate in quality and safety programs
• Support care coordination and follow up

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Active unrestricted medical license in any US state
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Eligible for VA credentialing and privileging
• Strong communication and documentation skills
