A well-established and growing commercial construction firm in the Fort Worth area is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee and manage field operations on high-profile commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strong background in complex ground-up and renovation builds, a commitment to quality, and a passion for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and coordination for field operations across multiple commercial construction sites.
Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
Enforce and uphold company safety standards and jobsite protocols.
Manage and mentor field staff and trade partners to maintain quality workmanship and productivity.
Participate in pre-construction planning, logistics, scheduling, and execution.
Conduct daily and weekly site inspections, progress reviews, and reports.
Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or senior field leadership role.
Minimum 5 years experience working in the K-12 or municipal sector.
Proven experience overseeing large-scale commercial projects including schools, healthcare, municipal buildings, or mixed-use developments.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.
Strong communication and leadership skills; able to manage multiple teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency with construction technology and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
OSHA 30 Certification required.
